Abby attended Johnson & Wales University, in Providence, Rhode Island, and recently graduated in August of 2016. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelors Degree in Culinary Nutrition, with a minor in Food Science.

Prior to joining the Away From Home Culinary Team, Abby interned at the Frito Lay Culinary Center supporting retail culinary innovation in the US and globally. It was during this time that she learned of the vast portfolio PepsiCo has to offer, although ever since childhood, Cool Ranch Doritos, Funyuns, and Cherry Pepsi still remain her favorite brands.

Abby would call the hands-on, ideation sessions the highlight of her job, and enjoys working collaboratively with customers to develop new items that fit perfectly with them. Contrastingly, she has a passion for developing both Better For You recipes, as well as desserts, to satisfy her huge sweet tooth! Cheese, dark chocolate, avocados and Texas grapefruits are amongst her other favorites. During her free time outside of the kitchen, Abby enjoys other creative hobbies, including scrapbooking, painting, and brush calligraphy. And even today, she would say that Providence remains her number one foodie town because of the unique “small-city” atmosphere, and approach to fresh, local food.
